Orlando City announced the full slate of events occurring at the groundbreaking for the new stadium on October 16th at 5:30 pm. The festivities are going to begin at Church Street with a sort of march to the match that will serve as a bit of a dry run for game days in 2016.
Once the procession has arrived at the northwest corner of Parramore Avenue and Church Street, they will be greeted with a performance by the Jones High School marching band. Dignitaries including both mayors Jacobs and Dyer, Phil Rawlins, Flavio Augusta da Silva who will all speak before the ceremonial first shovel.
Afterwards, everyone will head back to Church Street for a post event street party. It sounds like a lot of fun and we recommend showing up for it.
