5 Questions with Joseph Toby

Defender Joseph Toby was just transferred to Arizona United S.C. We caught up with him to ask a few questions about his new team and how he has been adjusting.

TCBG: How are you acclimating to your new surroundings?

JT: I am trying my best to acclimate to my surrounding but it’s different from Orlando because everything here is far apart and the weather is really hot.

TCBG: You have been on a bit of a whirlwind this year with getting promoted to the Orlando City pro roster and then coming to Arizona United S.C. What’s that experience been like?

JT: Yeah, I have but that’s something I have to get used to as a pro soccer player because you can get traded at any point. I’m just glad Orlando City gave me a chance to follow my dreams.

TCBG. Ironically, you were on the roster for Orlando City’s LAST USL season and now you’re on the roster for Arizona United S.C.’s FIRST USL season, are you seeing any major differences in how the clubs are approaching this campaign?

JT: Yes, I am because the Orlando City organization is bigger and different from Arizona because they are going to the MLS next year. Playing wise, is the same nothing has changed.

TCBG: Obviously there is a devoted following for Orlando City in Central Florida, what has stood out to you if anything about supporters groups of Arizona United S.C.?

JT: Well we have not played yet so I don’t know how the fan base is going to be at the games. The fans are on Twitter and Instagram like Orlando City fans.

TCBG: What do you feel you can bring to Arizona United S.C. that will help the club be successful?

JT: I will bring my style of play and my ability to go forward for the left back position. I’ll also bring my never give up attitude on the field.

TCBG: Thanks for your time!

JT: No problem, man.
