Orlando City SC continues to make waves this week by announcing the signing of Darwin Ceren, El Salvador’s captain as the third player on the 2015 MLS roster. Ceren, a dynamic midfielder clearly impressed Lions Head Coach Adrian Heath on his recent trip to watch Juventud Independiente play in the National League Semifinal.
“I’ve traveled a lot throughout the past few years and even though I’ve never been to El Salvador, it was definitely worth the journey,” added Heath. “Darwin is at the right age, he’s the captain of his country and an all-around great kid, so I’m very pleased that we were finally able to get this deal finalized.”
Ceren will be joining the team for the 2014 USL Pro season pending ITC and visa. The 24 year old is the third guaranteed MLS player for Orlando City after Kevin Molino and Yordany Alvarez.
